Building Partners
These are the businesses that have helped Team Angela…
Home Staging:
Whitney Interiors
Alli Krongel, owner of Whitney Interiors, helped us stage our Newton home for sale, and she’s a whiz! In a single afternoon, one area of our home after another was transformed, and as we watched her work I thought, “We should have done this a long time ago!” Angela and I are happy to recommend her; her services are a spectacular value.
You can reach her at 617-257-7544 or by e-mail at akrongel@msn.com. She also has a web site: www.whitneyboston.com
Builder:
John Corsi Construction
We knew going in that John’s team did excellent work- he did most of the remodeling at Alexandra and Bobby’s house down the street. But we also found that he answers his own phone, returns his calls ASAP, shows up a little earlier than he says he will, and has very talented and experienced family members on his team. To top it off, he’s a genuinely nice guy, of good character, who grew up around here. He knows his reputation is on the line when he builds something, and he takes that very seriously. You can reach him at John Corsi Construction, 774-244-2874
Architect:
HPA Design was exactly right for this project because of their ability to deliver incredibly “buildable” plans. We included many special features to make the home safe and accessible, and their detailed drawings mean we’ll end up with exactly what we need. Better yet, principle architect Henry Arnaudo and his associate Dean Yeaton each have a great eye for design, so we’ll get a house that’s as beautiful as it is functional. We’re happy to say they’re also a lot of fun to work with, and offer a terrific value.
Website:
Maria Greene of JustMagicDesign volunteered to build this Team Angela website simply because she wanted to help me and Angela- and that’s just about all you need to know about Maria… except that she’s patient with people who aren’t terribly web-design savvy (i.e. Chris) and has a knack for rapidly creating sites that look beautiful, and work smoothly too. She’s been with us the whole way, she’s terrific, and we’d recommend her without hesitation.
Engraved Bricks:
Fundraisers, Ltd.
These are the guys that are helping us offer bricks as our fundraising vehicle. Here’s what you need to know about them: they’re genuinely interested in helping. That shows up as promptly returned phone calls, patience in helping us choose our bricks, and a pretty cool looking end-product. Bret is our guy there, and we’d do business with him again in a minute. They’re at www.fundraisersltd.net.
Videographer:
Maegan Hoover
The best thing about Maegan is the way she listens so carefully before a shoot, to make sure she captures the memories you’re aiming for. She also edits her own footage, so nothing gets lost in translation. Maegan had previously chronicled the work of an architect, so we knew she’d be comfortable shooting our house demo/reconstruction- better yet, having known her for years, we knew she’d be fun to work with. You can reach her at maegan.hoover@gmail.com.
